Core editorial principles
- Label first: ingredient names, amounts and serving information are taken from the current product label when available.
- Attribute vendor claims: marketing statements remain vendor-reported unless independently established.
- Separate ingredient evidence from product evidence: a study on an ingredient does not by itself validate a branded finished formula.
- Explain uncertainty: proprietary blends, missing strain designations and changing commercial terms are identified as limitations.
- No fabricated authority: no invented doctor, dentist, lab, certification, customer or test result.
Source hierarchy
We prefer direct and authoritative sources: current labels; vendor checkout and policy pages; NIH, NIDCR and FDA resources; professional dental organizations; systematic reviews and PubMed-indexed studies. Secondary commercial websites are not used as primary proof of product-specific facts when a direct source is available.
Product claims and scientific context
When the product label or seller uses terms such as “clinically researched,” the site does not automatically convert that phrase into “clinically proven finished product.” We ask what was actually studied, whether the organism/ingredient matches the label, what dose and delivery method were used, and whether the evidence involved ProDentim itself.
General oral-health articles focus on education and continue to recommend established oral hygiene and professional care where relevant.
Ratings, reviews and testimonials
We do not create a star score for ProDentim. If a vendor-reported review count is ever mentioned, it must be identified as vendor-reported and checked against the vendor page at the time of publication. We do not convert a vendor review count into our own AggregateRating structured data.
Updates and corrections
Pages are updated when a material fact changes—for example, a new label, pricing structure, refund policy or shipping table. We do not change dates merely to manufacture freshness. A future correction mechanism can be added once a site-specific contact mailbox is available.
