What the ProDentim label says
Lactobacillus paracasei is one of three organisms named inside ProDentim's 20 mg proprietary probiotic blend. The blend as a whole is described as 3.5 billion CFU at the time of manufacture; the label does not disclose the individual L. paracasei amount or strain designation.
That missing strain designation limits how precisely outside studies can be mapped onto the product.
What has been studied
Randomized human research has evaluated specific L. paracasei preparations for oral outcomes such as salivary mutans streptococci. Some studies report changes under their specific protocols, but the participants, strain, delivery vehicle, dose and endpoints are study-specific.
A positive result in one strain does not make every L. paracasei supplement clinically equivalent.
Why strain identity matters
Probiotic effects can be strain-specific. Two products can both say “Lactobacillus paracasei” while using different strains, concentrations and supporting ingredients. A responsible evidence review therefore avoids phrases such as “L. paracasei is proven to do X” unless the strain and conditions are defined.
What this means for ProDentim
The research makes L. paracasei a reasonable ingredient to discuss in the context of oral-probiotic science. It does not establish that ProDentim delivers the same organism strain, dose or clinical outcome as a particular study.
For that reason, our product page reports the label identity accurately and our evidence page keeps finished-product claims separate.
